Motorfinity HQ Excitement & Anticipation in The Air

There’s a great sense of excitement and anticipation in the air at Motorfinity HQ as we launch our new department division - Motorfinity Leasing

At Motorfinity Group, we already offer all finance options with a no-fee policy. Now we have brought the leasing element in-house to continue our drive to provide the very best service possible for our specialist customer-base.

CEO, Daniel Briggs, has always had the vision of a unique business where, not only is the clientele from specialist sectors, but also provides a complete in-house ‘ONE STOP SHOP’ service.

“At the heart and soul of the Motorfinity Group are the highest standards of customer service and, by providing our leasing service in-house, we are able to ensure that all aspects of this are critically-controlled to provide the highest standards of service and value for our customers.”

“It has taken many, many months to reach the launch pad of this new sector of our business. In that time, we have worked extremely hard to establish complete ownership of it and call ourselves a true leasing broker. We have developed an exclusive leasing website, and, working directly with major leasing funders and all major motoring manufacturers, we have accessed the very best deals available for our trusted customers which, as always, comes with our no fees policy and 5-star rated service.”

Experienced Senior Account Manager, Tom Skipworth, has been internally promoted to take the driving seat of Motorfinity Leasing. Here, he talks about his exciting new challenge.

What attracted you to making the move to Leasing?

This is a great opportunity for me to undertake a new challenge. Helping to build a business from the beginning really appealed to me. Bringing our leasing business in-house means we have the essential control to oversee offers and work directly with our partners to secure the best service for our customers.

Why is leasing so attractive?

For me, it’s peace of mind. You embark on a fixed rental into which you can also build a maintenance cost. You don’t have to worry about depreciation in the case of a leased vehicle as you can simply hand the car back at the end of the term. It’s very easy to build a bespoke package to suit your requirements and afford some flexibility. For example, you can adjust your mileage allowance during the leasing term should your circumstances change. A PCP won’t allow this flexibility.

What does leasing have to offer in terms of us charging towards a greener/all-electric future?

The all-electric market is rapidly changing – power, range and charging speeds are developing very, very quickly. In terms of depreciation, at the end of 3 years, you could find yourself with the obsolete – a model which is so out of date that it has little worth. Again, with leasing, you have the peace of mind in the knowledge that you can hand the vehicle back at the end of the term and move on to a more technologically advanced vehicle. Whatever our customer requires, we are always just a phone call away from providing expert knowledge and guidance on route to a brand-new leased motor.

Our Pete! 30 years’ experience in the motor-trade, over 5,800 cars sold, sales worth £46 million +

Now sharing his knowledge and expertise at Motorfinity Leasing, Peter Kershaw has been a driving force in launching our new in-house brokerage. Here, he talks about how he came to be appointed to his role in Leasing Operations and Procurement.

What is your experience in the world of retail, Peter?

I have always worked in retail starting my working life in suits! I worked in menswear retail before moving to the motor trade. I have worked with brands such as Peugeot, Seat, Skoda, Audi, and VW.

During my 20-year stint with Audi/VW, I worked my up from Sales Manager to Group Corporate Manager and stayed the course through 5 different ownerships. And yes, indeed, it is reported that I sold over 5,800 cars with sales totaling over £46 million.

How did you get to know about the Motorfinity Group?

I forged a strong relationship with Motorfinity during my time with Audi/VW dealing with them as their supplier. When Lockdown struck, there were very few businesses who were allowed to stay open. Audi, with its centralized PDI Centre, were able to still operate and Daniel and I forged a strong link to enable critical services’ customers to access new Audis in order to keep them moving.

When Motorfinity decided to develop their own in-house leasing department, As I was coming up to retirement and I told Daniel he approached me to help with the setting up the Leasing Operation and with Procurement. I am thoroughly enjoying my new role working alongside Tom Skipworth and Team Motorfinity to build our very own in-house service – Motorfinity Leasing.

What attracted you to this new position?

The company has a great, relaxed atmosphere and the new role has enabled me to get involved in something quite unique. Working not only with a specialist sector but also procuring the best deals for those customers by liaising directly with the manufacturers. We are able to secure offers as soon as new models come onto the market and ensure that our customers receive the highest quality of customer service.

It has been an exciting challenge from Day 1 and we are now seeing all our efforts come to fruition as Motorfinity Leasing launches into the contract hire marketplace.
